Faith - the link between you and God

> An atheist and a believer had the

> 'You really believe that you are

The essence of TIME!

where we had time to catch-up. Today business paradigm does not allow that. Time is precious. Time lost is opportunity lost, profit lost, growth lost. So in Business today, time is essence. Let me give some relevant comparison to stress the importance of Time.

 Now Beijing Olympics is in full flow. We have 100M, 200M relay and other events. If you want to know the value of ‘one millisecond’‘ask the person who has won a silver medal in Olympics.

 Recently in Spain there was a plane accident in which very few survived. If you ask the person who has survived in the accident, you will then realize the value of ‘one second ‘.

 We invariably get stuck in traffic jams when we go to the station with family to catch a train to go on holiday or to go to another town to attend an important function. The traffic jam happens due to traffic disruptions because of sudden rain or visit of a VVIP or people coming in trucks to attend a political rally. These are common ones which we all experience. We end up sometimes in ‘just missing’ the train. At that time it help us to realize the value of ‘one minute’

 In a big country like ours, number of deserving youngsters do not get job. The personal feelings, difficulties of such people are clearly depicted in many films. Invariably they are shown as ending up as daily wage labourer. Not only that, they show what-all, the person does on getting the first day wage as well as their happy feelings. True. If you ask such of those daily wage labourer, you will realize the value of ‘one day ‘.

 Every week we receive magazines that come out weekly. So the tasks in front of the editor are not simple. He has to decide the cover picture, heading, cover story, total contents, get advertisements, do marketing, do sales, collect receivables etc., etc., Any mistake in any of these will totally affect subsequent week. If you discuss with the editor, he will make you realize the value of ‘a week’

 Our sisters / wife give birth to baby. If you ask a mother who has given birth to a premature baby, she will make you realize the value of ‘one month’.

 If you ask a good student who has failed in his exams (due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure factors) & who passes after a year then he will make you realize the value of ‘one year’

Time is essence. I am sure you will agree that from time immemorial we know time is precious. So the question to ask us is are we sensitive, to timely completion of work when it comes to our work, at the work place. If not we should. I am sure you will.

interesting!

All of the scientists on this list died or were injured in their pursuit of knowledge. Many of their sacrifices paved the way for some of the greatest discoveries and inventions known to mankind.

What can we learn from these explorers of years gone by? Gaining knowledge often comes with a price … but without a few brave people willing to push the limits, society as we know it would not be the same or.... genuis and good sense are inconstant companions.

1. Karl Scheele -- Died from tasting his discoveries

Scheele was a brilliant pharmaceutical chemist who discovered many chemical elements, including oxygen (though Joseph Priestley published his findings first), molybdenum, tungsten, manganese, and chlorine. Scheele had the habit of taste-testing his discoveries, and died of symptoms strongly resembling mercury poisoning.

2. Jean-Francois De Rozier -- First victim of an air crash

De Rozier was a teacher of physics and chemistry. He took the first manned free flight in a balloon, traveling at an altitude of 3,000 feet. Later, De Rozier planned a crossing of the English Channel from France to England, but after reaching 1,500 feet the balloon deflated, causing him to fall to his death.

3. Sir David Brewster -- Nearly blinded

Sir David was a Scottish inventor, scientist, and writer. He performed a chemical experiment in 1831, which nearly blinded him. While his vision did return, he was plagued with eye troubles until his death. Brewster is well known for having been the inventor of the kaleidoscope.

4. Elizabeth Ascheim -- Killed by X-Rays

Elizabeth Ascheim gave up her job as a bookkeeper to undertake studies in electrical science. Eventually she bought an x-ray machine, and she and her husband spent some years experimenting with it, using themselves as subjects. Unfortunately they did not realize the consequences of their lack of protection and Elizabeth died of an extremely widespread and violent cancer.

5. Alexander Bogdanov -- Killed himself with blood

Bogdanov was a Russian physician, philosopher, economist, science fiction writer, and revolutionary. In 1924, he began experiments with blood transfusion upon himself, but he did not test the health of the blood he was using. In 1928, Bogdanov took a transfusion of blood infected with malaria and tuberculosis, and died shortly after.

6. Robert Bunsen -- Blinded himself in one eye

Robert Bunsen is probably best known for having given his name to the Bunsen burner, which he helped to popularize. He started out his scientific career in organic chemistry, and nearly died twice of arsenic poisoning. Shortly after that, he lost the sight in his right eye after an explosion of cacodyl cyanide.

7. Sir Humphrey Davy -- A catalog of disasters

Sir Humphrey Davy, a brilliant British chemist and inventor, was fired from his job at an apothecary because he caused too many explosions! When he eventually took up the field of chemistry, he had a habit of inhaling the various gasses he was dealing with. This bad habit led to his discovery of the anesthetic properties of nitrous oxide; it also led to him nearly killing himself on many occasions. The frequent poisonings left him an invalid for the remaining two decades of his life. During this time he also permanently damaged his eyes in a nitrogen trichloride explosion.

8. Michael Faraday -- Suffered chronic poisoning

Thanks to the injury to Sir Humphrey Davy's eyes, Faraday became an apprentice to him. He went on to improve on Davy's methods of electrolysis and to make important discoveries in the field of electromagnetics. But like Davy, Faraday also suffered damage to his eyes in a nitrogen chloride explosion. He spent the remainder of his life suffering chronic chemical poisoning.

9. Marie Curie (pictured above) -- Died of radiation exposure

In 1898, Curie and her husband, Pierre, discovered radium. She spent the remainder of her life performing radiation research and studying radiation therapy. Her constant exposure to radiation led to her contracting leukemia and she died in 1934.

10. Galileo Galilei -- Blinded himself

Galileo's work on the refinement of the telescope opened up the dark recesses of the universe for future generations, but also ruined his eyesight. He was fascinated with the sun and spent many hours staring at it, leading to extreme damage to his retinas. This was the most likely cause of his near blindness in the last four years of his life.

11. Louis Slotin -- Killed himself with an accidental fission reaction

Canadian born Slotin worked on the Manhattan project, helping to design the first nuclear bomb. In the process of his experimentation he accidentally dropped a sphere of beryllium on to a second sphere, causing a prompt critical reaction (the spheres were wrapped around a plutonium core). Other scientists in the room witnessed a "blue glow" of air ionization and felt a "heat wave." Slotin was rushed to hospital and died nine days later. The amount of radiation he was exposed to was equivalent to standing 4,800 feet away from an atomic bomb explosion.

In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins - not through strength but by perseverance.

DRINK WATER ON EMPTY STOMACH
It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven a its value. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers. For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the water treatment had been found successful by a Japanese med ical society as a 100% cure for the following diseases:

Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat, epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidney and urine diseases, vomiting, ga str itis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes, constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and men str ual diso rd ers, ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT

1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x 160ml glasses of water .....interesting

2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minutes

3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.

4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours

5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses of water at the beginning may commence by taking little water and gradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.

6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick and others can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required to cure/control/reduce main diseases:

1. High Blood Pressure - 30 days

2. Ga str ic - 10 days

3. Diabetes - 30 days

4. Constipation - 10 days

5. Cancer - 180 days

6. TB - 90 days

7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3 days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwa rd s - daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.

It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life.

Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.

This makes sense .. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals ..not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.

It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed . It will slow down the digestion.

Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A. One Italian man killed the other Italian man for the Italian woman.

B. The two French men and the French woman are living happily together.

C. The two German men have a strict weekly schedule of when they spend time with the German woman.

D. The two Greek men are happy together, and the Greek woman is cooking & cleaning for them.

E. The two Polish men took a long look at the endless ocean and a long look at the Polish woman, and they started swimming.

F. The two Mexican men are talking to all the other men on the island trying to sell them the Mexican woman.

G. What happened to the Indians???

PERFORMANCE & not POSITION

Priest dies & is awaiting his turn in line at the Heaven's Gates. Ahead of

him is a guy, nastily dressed, in dark sun glasses, a loud shirt, leather

jacket & jeans.

Lord Dharamraj asks him: Please tell me who are you, so that I may know

whether to admit you into the kingdom of Heaven or not?

The guy replies: I am Banta Singh, taxi driver from New Delhi!

Lord Dharamraj consults his ledger, smiles & says to Banta Singh: Please

take this silken robe & gold scarf & enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Now it is the priest's turn. He stands erect and speaks out in a booming

voice: I am Sant Shiromani Baba so & so, Head Priest of the so & so Temple

for the last 40 years.

Lord Dharamraj consults his ledger & says to the Priest: Please take this

cotton robe & enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

'Just a minute,' says the agonized Priest. How is that a foul mouthed, rash

driving Taxi Driver is given a Silken robe & a Golden scarf and me, a

Priest, who's spent his whole life preaching your Name & goodness has to

make do with a Cotton robe?

'Results my friend, results,' shrugs Lord Dharamraj.

While you preached, people SLEPT; but when he drove his taxi, people

PRAYED.

Moral of the story: Its PERFORMANCE & not POSITION that ultimately counts.
